The newly revised Mikuni HSR42 Carburetor is now included in all Mikuni Kits for 1990 to present Evolution and Twin Cam 88 model Harley-Davidsons.This new carb features a redesigned throttle to work with the stock Harley throttle cables. Mikuni 45-5 HSR Easy Kit
The Mikuni HSR45 is the perfect carburetor performance upgrade kit for a Harley-Davidson motorcycle or engine also using a modified exhaust, cam kit, performance ignition, performance heads and possibly a big bore kit. Easy Kit applications include Harley-Davidson 1999 to present Twin Cam, and 1990 to ‘99 Big Twin Evolution models. The HSR45 Carburetor is also the perfect choice for other after market high performance Big Twin applications.
Included in the Mikuni HSR45-5 Easy Kit is a 45mm carburetor, a stock air box adapter, and instructions. The Kit can be used with the following H-D Screamin' Eagle higher flowing manifold kits: HDSE part numbers: 29634-00 (HTCC), or 29635-99 (TC), 29636-99 (Evo).

HSR Easy Tool Kit
All the important tools to perform basic jetting and maintaince on the HSR Series Carburetors. Lee Chapin Leaving Mikuni American
Northridge, CA, Jan 1st, 2010 - Lee Chapin, Aftermarket Carburetor Division VP has accepted an early retirement package offered by Mikuni American Corporation after 24 years with the company. The division supplies performance aftermarket carburetors, related parts and tuning components to manufacturers and distributors in the Motorcycle, ATV, Personal Watercraft and Snowmobile industries world wide.
Chapin will move on to explore new opportunities within the Powersports and American Big Twin markets. Chapin entered the motorcycle industry in 1974 selling Boge shocks. He was appointed Sales Manager at Mikuni American in 1986 where he expanded the division and supported National Championship racers to victories in all aspects of the sport. He brought to market many successful new products including the RS Smoothbores, Super BN Jet Ski Carbs and the popular HSR Carburetors. Lee also worked with Mikuni’s advertising agency Gianatsis Design to introduce the world to FastDates.com Motorcycle Calendars and the former Mikuni Calendar Motorcycle Show, now the LA Calendar Motorcycle Show.
“Working with Mikuni Carburetors over the years afforded me incredible opportunities. I was given the chance to travel the world and do business with many top companies and great people; many of whom have become life long friends”, states Chapin.
Mikuni American, like other Japanese companies, has been down sizing its operations to better reflect the changing economic conditions. No replacement for Chapin is planned at this time. Steve Webb, long time Mikuni Carburetor Sales Assistant, will now take over the duties of running the Carburetor Division and maintaining distributor relations.
“I wish the very best for Mikuni American and the remaining staff. I carry with me the fondest memories of my extended family, some of whom are also leaving the company.”
Chapin‘s personal life was dealt a severe blow this past June with the loss of his wonderful wife Shelly. “My children, with their families have made all the difference, supporting each other as we look forward to a brighter tomorrow,” said Chapin.
“I hope to secure another position within the motorsports industry where my marketing and management skills would prove to be valuable.”
